Marie-Antoinette had organised a party in honour of the Comte du Nord, the future Paul 1st of Russia, in the Parc du Petit Trianon. Guests walk past the rotunda of the Temple of Love built by Mique in 1778. This is one of the rare representations of the Queen’s English garden at the end of the 18th century.
